Now, it would make sense to post some holiday James Brown, Marvin Gaye, or some joyous Jackson 5, but this just feels right…

Edmonton’s not-so-little-anymore, DIY-type label, OLD UGLY (OU), recently self-released a sophomore Christmas album. OU released a Christmas album last year – you can find last year’s album on the right hand of the link I’ve provided – but this year’s will definitely be on repeat at my upcoming Christmas Party. Due in part to the success of OU affiliates, (Doug Hoyer, Jessica Jalbert, Mitchmatic, etc…) this year’s Chrismtas album is exceptional. If you’re the classical Christmas tune lover, you’ll be sorry to discover that there aren’t very many Christmas covers on this particular album. Rather, brace yourself to embark on an inventive Christmas adventure en route through Edmonton.
